FLORES TOUR ITINERARY
πLabuan Bajo
Your Flores Overland adventure begins after breakfast, with hotel pick-up in Labuan Bajo between 07:00 AM and 07:30 AM at the latest.
Travel through the scenic landscapes of Manggarai, passing winding roads, countryside scenery, and the expansive rice fields around Lembor.
Continue towards Denge and enjoy a local lunch before preparing for the trek to Wae Rebo.
Due to the steep and challenging road conditions, local motorcycle transportation may be arranged when necessary to reach the Wae Rebo trekking starting point.
From there, begin approximately 3 hours of trekking through tropical forest towards the traditional village of Wae Rebo.
Along the trail, enjoy the sounds of nature, fresh mountain air, birds, forest surroundings, and the possibility of encountering monkeys.
Upon reaching the entrance of Wae Rebo, guests will follow the local traditional welcoming procedure.
Guests are requested to respect the local rules regarding photography and wait until the traditional welcoming process has been completed before taking photographs.
Participate in the Wae Lu'u traditional welcoming ceremony led by the local traditional leader.
After the ceremony, enjoy Wae Rebo coffee or tea before exploring the village, interacting with the local community, and experiencing its unique traditional atmosphere.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional local dinner prepared by the people of Wae Rebo.
Guests dine together in the traditional communal house, sharing local dishes as part of the village experience.
After dinner, enjoy some time to relax and interact with fellow guests and local residents before resting for the night.
πOvernight: Wae Rebo Traditional Village
Wake up early and enjoy the peaceful morning atmosphere of Wae Rebo.
After breakfast, take some additional time to enjoy the village before beginning the approximately 3-hour trek back to Denge.
Continue towards the coast and board a local boat to Mules Island.
Explore Mules Island and enjoy its peaceful coastline, natural scenery, and unique character.
Take time to walk around, relax, appreciate the surroundings, and take photographs where permitted.
After exploring Mules Island, return by boat to the mainland and continue the overland journey towards Ruteng.
Visit the famous Spider Web Rice Fields, one of the most distinctive agricultural landscapes in Manggarai.
From above, the rice fields form a remarkable circular pattern resembling a giant spider web.
Take time to appreciate this unique landscape and learn about the traditional agricultural practices and cultural heritage associated with the area.
Continue to Ruteng for dinner and overnight accommodation.

After breakfast, continue your journey eastward from Ruteng towards the highlands and coastal landscapes of Flores.
Begin the day at Golo Curu, a scenic viewpoint overlooking Ruteng and the surrounding countryside. Enjoy panoramic views of the city, green landscapes, and rural areas stretching across the Manggarai highlands before continuing towards Lake Rana Mese.
Continue to Lake Rana Mese, a tranquil natural lake surrounded by lush green forest and highland scenery. Take some time to enjoy the fresh mountain air and peaceful atmosphere before continuing the journey eastward towards Aimere.
Before reaching the coast of Aimere, take the opportunity to experience a traditional part of local life by visiting a local producer and witnessing the traditional process of making sopi or moke, a locally produced traditional alcoholic drink made from fermented and distilled palm sap. Guests can observe how the palm sap is collected and traditionally processed through distillation using locally practiced methods. This experience offers a glimpse into a long-standing local tradition and the everyday life of communities in the area. Depending on local availability and circumstances, guests may have the opportunity to meet the local producers and learn more about how this traditional drink is made.
After exploring Lake Rana Mese, continue towards Aimere, where you will stop for lunch by the coast. Enjoy a local lunch while taking a break beside the beautiful shoreline and experiencing the relaxed atmosphere of coastal Flores. This is also a great opportunity to stretch your legs, enjoy the sea breeze, and take in the changing scenery as the journey moves from the mountains towards the coast.
After lunch, continue the journey towards Soa Menggeruda Hot Spring.
Arrive at this natural hot spring surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Soa area. After a long day of traveling and exploring, take time to relax and enjoy the warm natural waters. This is the perfect opportunity to slow down, refresh yourself, and enjoy a more relaxing side of Flores before continuing to Bajawa.

After enjoying Soa Menggeruda Hot Spring, continue the journey to Bajawa. Arrive in Bajawa and enjoy dinner before checking in and resting at your hotel.

After breakfast, continue your journey from Bajawa towards the eastern highlands of Flores. Today takes you through spectacular mountain scenery, traditional villages, and a unique coastal landscape before arriving in Moni, the gateway to Kelimutu.
Start the day at Wolobobo, one of the scenic highland viewpoints around Bajawa. Enjoy the cool mountain air and panoramic views across the surrounding hills, valleys, and countryside. Take some time to appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful landscapes before continuing towards Bena Village.
Continue to Bena Village, one of the most remarkable traditional villages in the Ngada highlands. Continue your journey towards Blue Stone Beach, a unique coastal destination known for its beautiful shoreline covered with distinctive blue-colored stones. Wake up early in Moni and prepare for the final day of your Flores Overland journey. Today, you will visit one of the most iconic natural wonders of Flores before continuing towards Ende.
Begin the morning with an early journey to Kelimutu, home to the legendary three-colored volcanic lakes. Located high in the mountains, the three lakes are known for their ever-changing colors and dramatic volcanic landscape. Take time to enjoy the breathtaking views, peaceful mountain atmosphere, and unique natural surroundings. The early morning is a special time to experience Kelimutu, when the cool mountain air and changing light create a memorable atmosphere around the lakes.
