Koka beach is a bit rough to get to and area is quite simple but beach itself is amazing. Powdery soft white sand, impressive jungle hillsides that look a bit like cross between Nusa Penida and Ora Beach in Malluku's on slightly less grand scale. This is one stop on trans-Flores itinerary that is well worth making!

3. Practical Info
To be able to get to this beach, you can ride motorcycle from Ende with distance about 3 hours, or through Maumere with hour of motorcycle ride. For entrance fee is charged 2x payment, which is cost at beginning of Rp10,000, when we are on way to beach, and cost when near arrival at end of road to beach of Rp. 10,000. There is also public toilet with fee of Rp.5000, there is small cliff on edge of coast that we can climb for Rp.5000, from above amazing view!

• Location: Desa Wolowiro, Kecamatan Paga, Sikka Regency - south coast

• From Maumere: 1 hour motorcycle ride (∼40-50km west)

• From Ende: 3 hours motorcycle ride (∼120km east)

• From Moni/Kelimutu: 2 hours to Koka via Ende road

• Entrance: Rp 10k at first post + Rp 10k at second post = Rp 20k total, toilet Rp 5k, cliff viewpoint Rp 5k

• Stay: Blasius Homestay - book ahead, 15 min walk, simple rooms with fan, fresh seafood

• Best Time: Morning for swimming (calmer), afternoon for sunset behind hills

How to Get There:

• Transport: Car/motorbike from Maumere or Ende - road mostly paved except last few km dirt

• Combine with: Kelimutu Lakes (2 hours north), Blue Stone Beach, Wologai Village - perfect stop between Maumere and Ende

• Tip: Better visit in evenings? No - visit both morning and sunset if staying overnight

Tips: Must stay overnight! Day trip rushed. Bring snorkeling gear - some coral. The small cliff you can climb for Rp5000 gives best drone-like view without drone - twin bays both sides. Buy grilled fish from Blasius family.

Perfect stop on trans-Flores itinerary that is well worth making - highlight beach!
