2. Malanage Hot Spring (Wae Bana Malanage) - THE MOST MAGICAL
Located in Dariwali village and just 40 minutes south of Bajawa, Malanage Hot Springs is completely natural hot spring that boasts unique feature. Unlike other hot springs, Malanage has two streams β one hot, which comes from Mount Inerie, and the other cold, which comes from Wae Roa waterfall. An unforgettable spa moment awaits. Set amid unspoiled countryside, Malanage Hot Springs are one of Indonesia's most magical geothermal experiences. A cool river rushes over forest-girded rocks and joins with steaming hot water from volcanically heated spring, creating natural spa that's warm in some spots, hot elsewhere, and even cool in places. What makes Mangeruda so great is that hot spring combines with cold-water waterfall, meaning depending where you sit water is scalding hot and still, rushing and cold or somewhere in between. Cold water tumbles down smooth rock surface and combines with hot water.
Features: Natural river setting, no concrete pools - just natural rocks. Hot water from Mount Inerie volcano meets cold river water.
Experience: You can move around to find perfect temperature - scalding hot near source, warm in middle, cold under waterfall!
Atmosphere: Lush greenery enveloping area, tranquil ambiance, panoramic views of surrounding hills and valleys
Local name: Wae Bana Malanage
Review: We loved Malanage Hot Spring β perfect blend of warm and cool currents surrounded by nature. Those hot springs have nice temperature and nice to lay in river and watch small water cascade.

Mengeruda: 3.6 km from Soa Airport, 15-20 min from Bajawa city - easy scooter ride
Malanage: About 20 km from Bajawa, 40 minutes south - accessible by scooter, need to trek 5 min down to river
Best Time: Late afternoon after Bena Village tour, or evening for relaxing under stars
