This year's festival is the second since it was first held in 2024. This is the government's commitment to making Ligota Beach Festival an annual event in East Manggarai.
The festival, held for 3 days (April 25-27 in 2024), features cultural performances, local culinary, beach sports, and opens new opportunities for local economy. Government states: "Ligota Beach is currently a tourism destination that is not less than Labuan Bajo."

From Borong City: Only 15-20 minutes drive to Compang Ndejing - super close!
From Ruteng: About 3 hours drive to Borong, then short drive to Ligota
From Labuan Bajo: 5-6 hours overland via Ruteng - Borong, can be combined with southern Flores route
Best Time: Late afternoon (4-6 PM) for sunset, golden light on rice fields, and sea + swamp aroma. Or visit during Festival Ligota in April for full cultural experience.
