Borong is a town and an administrative district situated on Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara Province of Indonesia. The town, which is a port on the south coast of Flores, serves as the administrative capital of East Manggarai Regency.

Buruan Beach is south-southeast of Borong city center, accessible via coastal road from Kota Ndora area. It's close to Liang Bala Beach and Ligota Beach but further east.

From Borong Town:

• Drive south from Borong city towards coast - about 20-30 minutes by motorbike

• Final access via small village roads - ask locals for "Pantai Buruan" near Nanga Labang / Compang Ndejing area

• Road: partly paved, last part dirt track - best with motorbike or 4WD in rainy season

From Ruteng: 3 hours to Borong + 30 min to Buruan
From Labuan Bajo: 5-6 hours overland

Best Time: Dry season May-October, late afternoon for sunset. Bring your own water/snacks, no facilities yet.
